I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Addictions Counselor III (CACIII). I have been in the counseling and psychotherapy profession since 1986 working with children, adolescents, adults and families. My experience includes helping people work through issues with relationships, parenting, family conflict, stress, communication, sense of self and advocacy, substance use and addictions, and relationships. Clinically my work has included individual, group, family, multi-family, specialized group therapy, and substance use/abuse treatment, assessments and evaluations, as well as clinical supervision for therapist and substance abuse counselors. I have experience working in private practice, day and residential treatment settings.
I am a strength based, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients reach their goals. I integrate complementary methodologies with systemic, brief, and cognitive-behavior therapies to personalize the counseling experience. I work with each individual collaboratively, meeting them where they are in life and building on their strengths to help them attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. |
